Yakitori
Western End of Qian Liang Hutong.
Go north up Wang Fu Jing untill you get to Mei Shu Guan Dong Jie and keep going north until Mei Shu Guan Dong Jie turns into a lane called Da Fo Si and walk 50 meters till you get to a Lane called Qian Liang. You can see it from the corner.

This weeks dinner was inspired by a yellow glow a smile and a deadline. Rushing home the other day I noticed that a local wings restaurant had been converted, as happens with amazing frequency round my way, to a Yakitori shop. I love Yakitori, which is engaged along with Chuanr in a daily struggle for my heart. And, riding past on my bike in the amber evening light, speckled with construction dust, the glow from inside the shop and the beaming grin of the guy behind the grill set in me a firm conviction that I should one day eat there. Not Saul on the road to Damascus, but you get the picture.
This guy will not be cooking the chuanr on Sunday and is not to be confused with me - seen here eating chuanr in Japan.
So, this Sunday is your chance to help me fulfill a several old day resolution and try out the new Yakitori place around the corner.
