This is my local, the place behind my place, (or in front of depending on your angle of attack). I am there for lunch (or they come round to mine) many a work at home day.

The food is old style Beijing and the place a traditional replica courtyard... there is a real old, old, si he yuan out front of my place - the reason the area has not been demolished and well worth a peek if anyone is interested. There is real rosewood to fire the ovens, so, though duck is not the centerpiece - it is really good.

Dinner at: 麻辣香锅 - Ma La Xiang Guo

This week's dinner features two novel aspects.

We have, as promised, moved a step closer to open and participatory democracy with Nels Frye having suggested this week's destination. He recommends it both as fun for a group and delicious. Nels' blog, stylites.net, reveals him to be a man well tuned to the fashion and trends of this town, boding well for an enjoyable dinner.
